Road Peet-Zah Recording Artists, Scarlet Angel, is a four-piece metal ensemble forged in the wilds
of Baltimore, Maryland, USA by lead-guitarist, Michelle Armiger. The band is unique in that it
consists of three female members: Jackie Joyce - Lead Vocals; Kim Yates - Drums & Vocals; and
Michelle Armiger - Guitar; and one male member (no pun intended): Rich Wilcox.
The “Angel” released their first-born, self-titled CD in September 2004 and is currently touring the
U.S. in support of their metal manifestation. The CD is available worldwide through independent
distribution channels that include Scarlet Angel’s own website store; and several other independent
sites such as Sonic Cathedral and CD Baby.
This awesome foursome delivers powerful, diverse, hard-hitting, between the eyes, guts and glory
metal. One chronicler describes the band as having the “balls of Metallica and the sexy, sweetness of
Heart". Lead vocalist, Jackie Joyce, has an incredible vocal range that has been compared to metal
masters such as Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Geoff Tate of Queensryche.
The CD boasts a variety of metal mayhem with a surprising infusion of passion and emotion. The
“Angel” serves up their hot, unique signature brand of relentless, in-your-face metal. Songs such as
“Scarlet Angel”; “Iron Clad Warriors”; “Airborne: Death from Above” and “I Won’t Hurt You” are a
divine cacophony of elemental power. Tracks such as: “Chains of Rock”; “Fear the Night” and
“Angel of Burning Ice” are a contradiction of emotion with an “F” you attitude, each vying for control
of the listener. The final selection, “Jack-O-Lantern” is a light-hearted ode to every self-respecting
